Synopsis

A story about grassroots efforts follows Mei Xiao Ge and his colleagues uniting the people to develop Guangming County. On the eve of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Mei Xiao Ge takes office as the governor of Guangming County and becomes colleagues with Lv Qingshan, Secretary of the County Party Committee and Ai Xian Zhi who's the Deputy Secretary. At this time, Guangming County is in urgent need of repair and development. With his high EQ, Mei Xiao Ge manages to get along well with his colleagues to smoothen out issues that may arise from new governance; he also has the courage to see things through to the end no matter how difficult. Upon taking office, he starts off on a journey to travel across hundreds of villages in Guangming County. After being elected as the secretary of the county party committee, Mei Xiao Ge commits to promoting deepening reforms among cadres. He persists in pushing the concept of green development, ensuring people's livelihood while protecting the environment, and improving education in the county. With the efforts of the county party committee, Guangming County finally realizes its ideal to rise above poverty and to develop healthily. Young cadres are also growing through experience and training, tearing down invisible barriers between the cadres and the masses.
