Plot - Synopsis

A story about a college professor and his fiancee who throw themselves into the heart of danger to infiltrate the enemy, thus beginning a battle of the minds with a general from the Japanese military.

In the year 1942, a newly-constructed military facility was carefully targeted and attacked by the Japanese. The Chinese soldiers fail to defend the place which leads to the capture of Kong Yuan. Kong Yuan's older brother Kong Fang (Wang Qian Yuan) has been studying abroad in Japan. Together with his fiancee (Ke Lan), he finds a way to work for the Japanese in hopes that they can work from the inside in order to save Kong Yuan and recover the lost territory.
